Bowers & Wilkins’ Px7 S2 Over-Ears Boast a Pair of Custom 40MM Drivers

When it comes to audio manufacturers, Bowers & Wilkins is practically in a league of its own. The British brand’s latest release looks to separate itself from the pack even more, as the revamped Px7 S2 over-ears aim to one-up their predecessors.

As far as Bowers & Wilkins products go, these high-end headphones are the first to operate with the manufacturer’s neighboring app, making for a seamless modern streaming experience. The redesigned Px7 S2 cans feature a slimmer profile and come available in a trio of sleek colors. This lightweight feel is accentuated by a pair of plush memory foam earcups that are luxurious enough to convince you to listen to music as long as possible — which with these headphones is a pretty long time, as you’ll see further down.

When it comes down to sound, B&W’s newest over-ears boast a pair of custom-designed 40mm drive units and offer an active noise canceling mode for serene musicality and a bolstered soundscape. In addition to this, the headset features a wholly improved microphone array (six in total) for enhanced call quality. The Px7 S2 also offers up to 30 hours of battery life (told you it was long), so feel free to take advantage of that for well over a day’s worth of listening time.

With this being B&W’s first pair of premium headphones so far this year, fans of the brand can also expect a fully revamped flagship in the Px8 to hit shelves later in 2022. In the meantime, though, the Px7 S2 is being described by Bowers & Wilkins as the best pair of noise-canceling headphones it’s ever come up with. You can find out for yourself by picking up a pair on the brand’s online store for $399.
