You’re likely familiar with Anker’s catalog of smartphone and tablet accessories. From chargers to adapters and everything in between, the essential tech brand always has you covered when your phone needs some extra life. However, looking to shift gears entirely, Anker has just unveiled the M5 — its first 3D printer under its new AnkerMake sub-brand — and it looks to make the process as simple as ever.
Thanks to Anker’s proprietary AI Camera Recognition system, anything you print stays true to its genuine form. Plus, thanks to its refined 0.1 mm precision, the proof is in the details, with every curve and indent captured as it should be. In addition to its accuracy, the process is accomplished at rapid-fire speed, with the M5 capable of crafting a small-scale piece in under two and a half hours, as well a large-scale model within 10 hours.
For additional security, the M5 is composed of a die-cast aluminum alloy structure, managing to increase the base’s weight and keep it sturdy when printing at blisteringly high speeds. As another sign of assurance, the machine notifies you whenever the AI system detects an error in your print, allowing you to fix it by hand or stop it entirely using the printer’s accompanying app. The AnkerMake app also allows you to view the process in real-time, so you never have to miss out on a second.
Upon absolutely shattering its Kickstarter goal with well over a month to go, AnkerMake’s latest innovation is one for the books and is sure to look great in any home’s workroom. The M5 3D Printer is currently available starting from a $599 pledge on Kickstarter.
