Sure, TVs have been getting bigger with higher resolutions, but they can be cumbersome and are usually not fit for the outdoors (though many try). Personal projectors have been filling in the gaps, and are also becoming more and more high-tech. Nebula, a sub-brand of Anker, has been perfecting these portable projectors and is easily one of the best doing it in the industry right now. So fans were eager to see what was in store when news of the label’s next outdoor projector started percolating over the last few months. And now it’s here, the Nebula Mars 3, a portable projector built for the outdoors.

The Mars 3 provides up to 200 diagonal inches of 1080p Full HD video, with a 185 Wh battery that gets you up to 5 hours of watch time and 15 hours of listening time, and the LED provides 1,000 lumens when plugged in (but gets down to 300 on battery power). The AI-Image Adjustment feature changes the screen brightness to be more appropriate for the lighting you’re in, and the Quality Engine (also AI-powered) edits the image with noise reduction, color decoding, and contrast adjustments to make visuals more crisp. Setup is also made easy with intelligent sensors that can autofocus and adjust the screen in three seconds, and a 40W speaker (with Dolby Digital Plus) is built into the projector, so you don’t need to worry about extra equipment.

This projector has been ruggedized with IPX3 splash resistance and 0.7mm dust resistance, and can handle drops from about 1.5 feet without breaking. The built-in stand, lens cover, and handle also make the projector easy to lug around and set up outside without damaging it.

The Anker Nebula Mars 3 is now available for $1,099, with an additional travel case for $99.
