It seems as though we learn something new about Todd Snyder with every collection his eponymous label puts forth. However, one thing is for certain, and it’s that the New York-bred designer simply can’t get enough vintage sportswear. An ongoing partnership with Champion has proven that, and a brand new collaboration with FootJoy fully certifies it.
In an effort to rehash the on-course looks of legends like Arnold Palmer and Chi-Chi Rodriguez, Todd Snyder and the century-old heritage brand have unveiled their second-ever line of collaborative apparel: The Blues. Pieces in the new collection consist of iconic garments fit for the country club, like tipped and full placket polos, handsome cardigans, plaid golf pants, classic visors, and much more. All of the pieces aim to answer the question: What would the best golfers of the 1960s and ’70s wear on the course today? It provides the answer with a capsule of retro styles that are crafted from modern moisture-wicking performance fabrics.
With a wide variety of apparel fit for this time of year, we’d be remiss to overlook the shoes designed specifically for the course. The Todd Snyder x FootJoy Premiere Series Shoe takes the latter’s trademark pair of cleats and touches them up with a clean white leather upper and blue camouflage lining, falling in line with the rest of this color-coated partnership. Lastly, what better way is there to bring out the most of your new FootJoy shoes than with a pair of collaborative socks? The collection has those, too.
Pieces in the FootJoy x Todd Snyder The Blues Collection are available starting from $19, with the collaborative shoes listed at $220. The capsule is now live on Todd Snyder’s site.
