In a world with constant distractions, it’s important to get out into nature to take a load off and be present. This is all well and good, but if you plan on undertaking any serious outdoor excursions, you need to have the right equipment. The Oregon-based label Danner understands the importance of this, which is why they’ve been creating reliable and rugged footwear since the 1930s, outfitting working men and adventurers with the right stuff. Taylor Stitch has a similar passion for the great outdoors (especially for the label’s home state of California), and crafts high-quality menswear essentials with sustainable practices to demonstrate that. Using recycled materials, volunteer work, and responsible manufacturing, Taylor Stitch also understands the importance of gear built to last. And now, the duo has just teamed up on a limited-edition pair of Danner Ridge Boots, a lightweight take on the original version with camo accents, as part of the Ridge & River collection.

Based on Danner’s Ridge Boot, this limited-edition pair of USA-made boots is lighter than the original, but still features many of the same rugged features. You’re still getting a waterproof GORE-TEX lining for rainy hikes, a removable OrthoLite footbed with three layers, and a Vibram Kletterlift Thin outsole secured by a rebuildable stitch-down construction. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the waxed canvas accents courtesy of Halley Stevensons (a legend in the UK waxed canvas space), clad in an old-school camo colorway that complements the dark brown pebble leather and the original silhouette in a unique way.

Do keep in mind that this is a limited edition release (only 75 units), and many sizes are almost sold out, so act fast if you’re interested. These boots are also part of the Ridge & River collection the duo dropped, featuring a new sweater, a jacket, and an organic cotton tee.

The Danner Ridge Boot from Taylor Stitch and Danner is available now in the Painted Camo colorway for $470.
