If the time switch wasn’t enough to convince you, spring is near, so it’s almost time to put the coats away and stock up on seasonal essentials. Luckily, Standard Issue has got you covered in a surprising collab with Toyo Tires, churning out an array of simple tees, hoodies, and hats that are ideal for the shift in weather – and a visit to local Cars & Coffee meet here in LA.

For those unfamiliar with Toyo, the cherished Japanese manufacturer has been making premium tires for well over 70 years, proving this rather simple joint effort has decades’ worth of automotive history behind it. And while the racetrack-approved hunks of rubber helped innovate the industry, this chance to own gear with Team Toyo’s (its team division) branding is just as exciting. Accounting for the Japanese tire giant and Standard Issue’s West Coast whereabouts, it’s safe to say that this new capsule is practically a worldwide affair. That said, it still has a sense of easy-going, West Coast coolness assuring any piece could bode well at an afternoon car meet.

As far as the clothing itself is concerned, it’s more of what we’ve come to expect from the California-bred clothier, with the capsule including a quartet of everyday pieces: the signature t-shirt, hoodie, and a pair of hats, one dad and one bucket. Each tee boasts a sturdy, 10-ounce ring-spun cotton construction and comes available in several colors, including navy, army green, and black; meanwhile, hoodies and hats in the capsule are limited to black and navy. More importantly, though, each of these pieces is crafted with the utmost attention to detail in the brand’s L.A.-based factory and headquarters. To acknowledge the collab, everything is embroidered with a cursive script saying “Team Toyo Drivers Club.”

Drive on over to Standard Issue’s webshop and dive into its collection with Toyo Tires, with pieces ranging in price from $35-$120.
