Nike’s Air Max Scorpion Is the Latest Innovation In Its Iconic Air Line

Nike’s Air Max Scorpion silhouette has undergone every form of an unofficial unveiling, from leaks to teasers and everything in between. However, fans of the iconic performance brand can rest in knowing that it has finally shown off its brand new Air Max trainer.

The forthcoming shoe is the latest result of Nike’s consistency in innovating its Air line. It was developed throughout the pandemic period in which Nike’s leading designers, engineers, and scientists clearly made the most of the remote working experience. Serving as the brainchild of VR design software, engineering tools, and digital twin technology, the Air Max Scorpion is practically every athlete’s dream.

As far as comfort goes, this silhouette boasts the most Air material to date (measured by pounds per square inch), paving the way for all-day comfort. The trainer’s airbag system provides a “piston-like effect” thanks to its strategically placed, point-loaded contact points that separate your foot from the airbag. Its design is based on a state-of-the-art Flyknit chenille material that composes the upper. Moreover, this comes to shape by short fibers being held in place by a pair of twisted core yarns, resulting in a plush, pile-like texture and an eye-catching look.

In Nike’s efforts to further strive toward sustainability, the unique silhouette is made using 20% recycled content by weight. While the Beaverton-based giant hasn’t formally addressed pricing details, it will be available starting October.
