Following gimmick-less collaborations with countless brands, from New Balance to Tekla and A.P.C to Danner, JJJJound has long been associated with its polarizing brand of minimalism. Nevertheless, in the spirit of the season, the trending brand has just churned out a streamlined spin on Eddie Baker’s classic down jackets built to battle unpredictable forecasts in style.

While this is not the first installment in the clothier’s work with the heritage brand (third and counting), it’s undoubtedly one of the most stylish releases the partnership offered thus far, taking after vintage outdoor styles that never lose their touch. The unique spin fuses the look of a bomber jacket with the function of a down jacket, all coated in a traditional polyester ripstop shell with a StormRepel DWR finish.

Operating alongside the trusty weather-ready shell is toasty 800-fill RDS-certified goose down, assuring warmth and dryness all season long. Style-wise, the reworked pieces feature Eddie Bauer’s inimitable diagonal quilting and a soft rib knit collar. Then, the jackets are finished with an engraved JJJJound plaque, authentic jacquard labels on the interior, and a vintage Talon brass two-sided zipper embellished with a quartet of Js. Falling in line with the ongoing sense of minimalism, the jackets are available in two simple colors: black or olive.

The Eddie Bauer JJJJound Down Jacket is available on the niche brand’s webshop for $329.
