With almost a century of experience crafting durable boots, Danner is undoubtedly one of the greats and continues to maintain its status by staying true to its roots, and keeping most of its production here in the States. Ball and Buck have a similar appreciation for utility and craftsmanship, now with 15 years under their belt hand-crafting durable goods. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the team’s first collaboration, the duo has dropped the Danner x Ball and Buck Light Boots, a pair of American-made waterproof boots ready for adventure.
These rugged boots start with a waterproof leather upper (thanks to the GORE-TEX lining) saturated with oils and waxes, giving the leather longevity and the ability to develop a unique patina as you wear them. On the bottom, you get a Vibram Gumlite outsole supplying reliable traction, and a fiberglass shank for added support. It’s finished with antique brass hardware and comes in the Original Camo colorway you see above, featuring 10 ounces of Ball and Buck’s signature Duck Camo and Blaze Orange stitching on the heel. Each pair is made with care in Portland, Oregon.
Regarding the duo’s reunion, CEO and Founder of Ball and Buck Mark Bollman states, “This is a full circle moment for Ball and Buck and Danner, coining 10 years since our first collaboration, and I am thrilled to be doing it with them once again.” While it’s exciting to see these two back in action, and heritage brands working together with newer labels, the versatility of these boots is the real hook here, boasting a durable design that’s just as capable in the wild as it is on the city streets.
The Danner x Ball and Buck Light Boots are available now in the Original Camo colorway for $448. They’re available through Ball and Buck and Danner, and only for a limited time as well, so get them while you can.
