Coming off the back of two athletes officially shattering the sub-two-hour marathon mark in the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3, adidas Running has clearly decided this is the moment to swing big outside the lab too.
Enter the brand’s new multi-season tie-up with Paris’s Satisfy, one of the hottest names in the running space right now, which lands today with its debut drop: a reworked Adizero Adios Pro 4.

The Mismatched Move
The drop includes three colorways in total, and they’re all signature Satisfy: Army Green, Earth Brown, and Core Black. The gimmick (and we mean that in the best way) is an asymmetric 360-degree color fade that runs across both shoes in a pair, so the left and right don’t quite match. Skate culture and DIY spray paint are the cited inspirations, and in practice it means the shoe looks like a different shade depending on the angle you catch it from.

The cobranding is minimal as well, which is expected. Reflective metallic Three Stripes wear the Satisfy logo at the front, contrast stitching threads throughout, and flipping the heel tab reveals an embossed “Stay Possessed,” Satisfy’s house mantra. Even the carbon Energy Rods get a chrome makeover here, swapped for a matte silver finish that adidas claims was lifted from off-road buggies.

The Shoe Underneath Is Still a Weapon
While these shoes to look stellar, it’s easy to get lost in the styling and forget what’s actually on your foot. The Adios Pro 4 is one of adidas’s two flagship super shoes, sitting a tier below the $500, elite-only Adios Pro Evo 3 that those sub-two marathons happened in. It’s the racing shoe most actual humans can buy and toe a starting line in.

Crucially, none of the race-day guts have been watered down for the collab. Full-length Lightstrike Pro foam runs the length of the midsole, carbon-infused Energy Rods 2.0 handle the propulsion, the Lightlock upper uses one-way stretch to keep the foot planted, and the outsole rides on race-tuned Continental rubber with adidas’s Lighttraxion grip pattern.
