First debuting in 2020, the Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener is a revolutionary all-one-one adjustable table-top-style complete sharpening system that offers incredible performance, precision, and repeatability in an ultra-affordable and ultra-easy-to-use package. And after more recently releasing the upgraded Elite-spec version of the Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener, the Oregon-based sharpening specialist has now debuted an even more impressive and even more capable, industrial-grade followup to its original jig-and-clamp-type sharpener with the completely reengineered and markedly more top-shelf Work Sharp Professional Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener.

Unlike the original 2020 model which utilized some lower-cost materials in a bid to keep pricing low, this new professional-level sharpener is constructed around an all-metal base, tower, and frame. Built atop a super sturdy weighted base, the sharpening system can be used on everything from everyday carry knives to outdoor fixed blades to kitchen knives. Thanks to an included small knife table attachment, the Professional Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener can even be used to sharpen tiny keychain and pen knives. Borrowing elements and features from existing premium professional grade systems that typically cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars, this new model also carries over its predecessor’s patented V-Block Clamp, which securely holds knives in place without damaging them, and allows the knife to be rotated 180° so both sides of the blade’s edge can be evenly sharpened without ever having to remove the knife from the stand.

Replacing the original model’s “Tri-Brasive” grit arms is a new vertically-fed flat grit plate-style setup that includes 1” x 6”  220, 320, 400, 600, and 800-grit diamond plates, as well as a ceramic honing plate and a leather strop. These plates are also user-replaceable. And, while it still has its non-Pro-spec predecessor’s 15° to 30° sharpening angle adjustability, the new Pro model comes loaded with a digital angle indicator — another feature typically reserved for ultra-expensive industrial and professional-grade tabletop units. All in all, Work Sharp has managed to build on and improve what was already an amazing product, retaining the aspects of the original that made it so popular in the first place, while simultaneously introducing a host of new and innovative features that collectively make for an even better complete sharpening system.

Backed by a three-year warranty, the Work Sharp Professional Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener is available for order now with pricing set at $300. And while this Pro-spec sharpening system will later enter regular production, Work Sharp has thus far released a first production batch of just 450 units, all of which come with an included takedown mat, morale patch, and a special plaque that denotes each unit’s production number.
