Topgolf & SUPER73 Deliver a 2-Wheeled Take on Traditional Golf Carts

Though golf carts have existed for the better part of a century, their overall design has changed very little since the first units began popping up in the 1930s. Recognizing this, high-tech driving range and game center chain Topgolf has recently partnered with Southern California-based eBike brand SUPER73 to deliver a reimagined, two-wheeled take on the traditional golf cart.

Born out of a joint effort between the Callaway-owned outfit and SUPER73’s “HALO” Special Projects team, this one-of-one build is based on the SUPER73-S2 and features a slew of modifications that make it something of the ultimate moto-style golf cart. This includes a removable club bag rack that bolts to the frame, as well as an onboard cooler, a side-plate rack supporting a soft pannier, and a Speaqua Bluetooth speaker set in a golf ball-shaped housing. Other additions include a SUPER73 McFly handlebar, Vee Speedster Whitewall tires, and a bespoke green and white bread loaf-style seat courtesy of Saddlemen.

Once pieced together, the S2 was then treated to a custom golf-themed livery with a dark green frame, chain-guard, and battery housing, contrasted via powder-coated lime green rims, front sprocket, triple-clamp, and riser, and by the aforementioned whitewall tires, speaker, and seat. A Topgolf logo also now adorns the battery cover, as well. The entire build has also been designed to have its modifications easily removed, allowing the S2 to quickly convert back into an urban commuting machine. And, with the powerful performance of the S2, this two-wheeled golf cart’s exploration on the links isn’t limited to the fairway or paved paths like traditional carts.

While the SUPER73 x Topgolf S2 is just a concept and has no plans of entering production, we wouldn’t be surprised if this collaborative one-off inspires a few similar golf-focused projects, as the silent, battery-powered eBike more than demonstrates its conduciveness to use out on the links.
