Rezvani is having quite the summer. Three weeks after we covered the Dune, the brand’s lifted and supercharged take on the Lamborghini Huracán, the Irvine outfit rolled into Monterey Car Week with something even less subtle.
Say hello to the Beast X, a 1,560-horsepower, all-wheel-drive hypercar that Rezvani will build just five times.
Five Cars, Eleven Years Apart
If the Beast X name rings a bell, that’s because Rezvani has been here before. The original Beast X landed in 2015 with 700 horsepower wrung from a twin-turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder, back when the Beast family still rode on a modified Ariel Atom chassis. Rezvani only built five of those, too.
That was before the Tanks, Knights, and bulletproof Fortresses turned the company into America’s favorite apocalypse outfitter. So the badge’s return is a reminder that this brand actually started with lightweight speed machines, not smoke screens.
Doing Corvette Math
Rezvani’s spec page never utters the word Corvette, but everyone else has connected the dots. And the brand’s own technical diagram shows gas power out back with electric drive up front, mirroring Chevy’s E-Ray and ZR1X layout.
The bespoke twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 packs fully forged internals and claims an absurd 1,560 horsepower and 1,280 lb-ft of torque, sent through an 8-speed dual-clutch and full-time AWD for a 1.9-second run to 60 mph.
For context, Chevy’s own ZR1X makes 1,250 horsepower, hits 60 in 1.89 seconds, and starts at $207,395 with a factory warranty. We’re not going to pretend Rezvani’s figures have seen a dyno sheet yet, but if they hold, this is the most powerful thing ever built on Corvette bones.
Magnesium, Carbon, and One Weird Flex
The body is full carbon fiber, and every inch was designed for aerodynamics. There are canards, an S-duct, fender extractors, and a roof scoop, all of which feed into a twin-hoop rear wing with a triple-exit exhaust clustered dead center in the diffuser.
Underneath, adaptive double-wishbone suspension pairs with magnesium wheels that shave seven pounds of unsprung mass per corner.
Scissor doors open to carbon buckets, a squared-off Alcantara yoke, yellow belts, and a “1 of 5” plaque. Oddly, the spec page also lists drive modes for sand, Baja, and snow.
