Lucid Blacks Out Its Flagship Air Model Lineup with a ‘Stealth Look’ Package

Lucid has emerged as a serious competitor to Tesla in recent years, and its premium Air lineup is home to some of the market’s best EVs by far. Now, the California-bred manufacturer aims to make its models even sleeker with what it’s appropriately calling the ‘Stealth Look’ package.

Lucid’s new package consists of 35 exterior components featuring a new dark Stealth Polished finish as opposed to the standard series’ platinum one. Certain elements that take on the new cosmetic approach include the front nose blade, C-pillars, fascia trim, mirror caps, and most noticeably, the glass roof. The brooding design language trickles down to other components, as it overtakes elements like the headlights and taillights. Then, the Stealth Polished finish is accentuated by hints of black gloss and satin graphite, giving the blacked-out ride some extra shine. This look is inspired by the polishing technique implemented in premium watchmaking and fine jewelry.

The package also features unique wheel designs that vary based on your Air model of choice. The options include either 21-inch Aero Sport Stealth wheels or 20-inch Aero Lite Stealth wheels, which both feature stain black wheel inserts. Lucid’s Senior Vice President of Design claims that the marque’s Air was always meant to embrace this newly-announced configuration. Now, it has managed to wholeheartedly deliver on its intentions with the sleek finish. Most importantly, The Stealth Look is not limited to black models — you can pair Lucid’s latest cosmetic package with any of its signature exterior colors, including Stellar White, Quantum Grey, or Zenith Red.

While the Stealth Look for Lucid Air configuration won’t hit the market until 2023, you can catch an early glimpse of its public debut during Monterey Car Week on August 17. The package will cost an additional $6,000 upon release as an add-on for the Air Grand Touring Performance, Air Grand Touring, and Air Touring.
