LEGO’s ICONS lineup has provided adoring builders with one incredible model after another, offering everything from Doc Brown’s DeLorean to a brick-built take on the Eiffel Tower — the latter being one of its largest to date. This time around, though, the Danish toymaker is venturing from Paris to the U.K. as it puts a refined spin on the legendary Land Rover Classic Defender 90.

Boasting all the authentic elements auto enthusiasts have cherished the model for over the years, LEGO implemented everything from an active suspension to a pair of different engines. Moving away from its army green exterior, you have precise interior detailing, which even features a coffee cup for those long roads ahead. Best of all, the famous 1983 off-roader can be fully tailored to your liking, allowing you to keep it simple and streamlined or tack on a surfeit of adventure-ready accessories, including a roll cage, roof rack, engine snorkel, fire extinguisher, and so much more. Hell, it even comes packaged with a set of jerry cans — we just wonder what the MPG ratio is on this spectacular new build.

Measuring just over 6″ high and 12.5″ long, the small-scale Defender 90’s size is on par with what we’ve come to expect from most of LEGO’s other car-inspired models, with its now-retired take on the TECHNIC Defender from 2019 was roughly 8″ wide and 16″ long; that said, that build only offered a sliver of the detail put into its latest masterpiece. Moreover, while the new 2,336-piece build sees a minor drop off compared to the 2,573-piece TECHNIC model, keep in mind that this is dedicated to an entirely different model, and it has all the outdoor-approved gear to show for it.

Die-hard off-roaders and toy car lovers rejoice as LEGO’s Classic Defender 90 will be available for $240 starting April 4.
