With so many fully-electric SUVs hitting the streets, it was only a matter of time until a manufacturer as familiar as Honda put forth its first take on one. Well, today the Japanese marque unveiled the Prologue, a mid-size EV SUV expected to go on sale within the next two years.

Honda claims that the forthcoming battery-powered model “heralds a new era of electrified Honda vehicles,” leaving us with room to anticipate what’s to come from the multinational automaker. As far as looks are concerned, Honda’s “Neo-Rugged” design language is showcased through features like a panoramic roof, a sleek, rounded finish, and towering 21-inch wheels.

Speaking of the Prologue’s bottom half, it boasts a nearly 122-inch wheelbase, measuring over 5-inches longer and wider than the 2023 CRV. As we move inward, the Prologue is remarkably spacious and tech-forward, offering over 100 cubic feet of room within the cabin, an 11-inch digital dashboard, and a slightly larger center console. The pictures that Honda released shows off the North Pearl Shore color, which takes its inspiration from the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe.

Outside of its design and a slight peek at its interior, Honda has kept any other information regarding its first-ever EV SUV under wraps. As we mentioned earlier, though, the AWD-capable model is expected to arrive in 2024. Sign up for future updates regarding the Prologue on its website.
