By now, anyone with an iota of knowledge about the car industry knows that all roads are leading to electrification. All of the industry titans are revamping their lineups either to feature, or in many cases, entirely consist of electric vehicles. One of the brands that has been making waves in this capacity lately is Honda. The Japanese automaker has been on a tear of releasing newly designed EV versions of their cars and is now looking to majorly capitalize on the largest potential EV market in the world: China.

Honda’s newest fleet of EVs, dubbed the e:N Series, is exclusive to China and is a part of the brand’s grand strategy to take a large stake of the Chinese EV market. Announced at a digital press conference, the e:N Series will introduce ten all-new electric vehicles to the Chinese market over the next five years with this announcement coming right on the heels of Honda’s pledge to make only hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles after 2030. Using dynamic, intelligence, and beauty as their muses when designing the concept cars, Honda has aimed for the vehicles’ architecture to be sporty and exhilarating. The cars come loaded with tech, including Honda SENSING, Honda CONNECT, and even a smart digital cockpit to enhance driver mobility. Slick lines and unique, futuristic styling serve as the extension of the beauty element. Honda showcased the first two production models of the e:N Series at its press conference, the e:NS1 and e:NP1, which will go on sale in Spring 2022. The automaker also announced three different concept cars they plan on releasing — the e:N SUV, the e:N GT, and the e:N Coupe — and all three look like they could pass for dressed-up Tesla Cybertruck doubles.

Although the production models aren’t nearly as cyberpunk in their styling as the concepts, all of the cars announced in the press conference sport aggressive, sporty lines that lean toward futuristic design. They’re stylish, sophisticated, and sustainable, as the auto giant has the lofty ambition to be a carbon-neutral company by 2050. Honda has yet to release the specs for any of the cars in the e:N Series, but the first models will go on sale in China in 2022.
