Texas-based tuner Hennessey Specialty Vehicles has proven time and time again that America is still putting out hypercars to compete with the likes of Italy and Sweden. However, for its latest vehicle, the Warhawk, the company is going for a military-inspired theme, opening up a new division for the job.

Hennessey Warhawk Basics
Inaugurating the new Hennessey Defense Systems (HDS), where it will “design, engineer, and manufacture specialized vehicles for the defense sector,” the Warhawk is the marque’s first light strike-force vehicle. Built on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, the vehicle claims to be both lighter and faster than the competition. The back has folding seats that allow for a 10-person total capacity.
According to CEO John Hennessey, the Warhawk is “strongly influenced by experienced war fighters and their desire to have a fast, reliable and versatile first-strike vehicle that is easy to operate and service in some of the world’s harshest environments. We are honored to take our decades of experience from building some of the world’s fastest vehicles and applying our know-how to the defense sector.”

Modular for Any Scenario
Emphasizing modularity, the Warhawk is adaptable to whatever you need to bring on board, including supplies, weaponry, or emergency medical equipment. Intended as a transportation solution for the likes of Special Operations, police, SWAT teams, or even sportsmen, the vehicle’s upgrades include armored drivetrain shielding, off-road run-flat tires, steel bumpers with an integrated winch, a one-switch blackout function, extra power outlets, and mounting points that can be used for either weapon systems, recon apparatuses, or medical equipment.
Running on the factory-spec 3.6-liter V6 engine from the Rubicon delivering 281hp, the Warhawk can be equipped with a diesel or kerosene fuel conversion. It also comes in four-wheel drive with a 1,200-pound payload and 4,500-pound towing capacity.
