Texino’s Concept for the Atrium Camper Favors Form and Function

When Texino founder Nick Devane first came up with the idea for his company, he envisioned a recreational vehicle that would feel more like a low-usage camper van; a livable place to chill out, maximizing room while still offering innovative designs and getting people outside more. Since Texino’s launch in 2018, it’s helped to redefine the box camper industry, but with a team led by Devane and Design Director Gabriel Wartofsky, the Los Angeles-based company has pushed the boundaries even further and broken the mold in the process with its latest design.

The Texino Atrium is a futuristic-looking box camper inspired by both Neo-Modern design and adventure vehicles of the past, with an interior that favors simplicity and streamlined function. The inside contains a bathroom, a kitchenette, two sleepers, and a loft cot, with deep storage offered by the boxier structure. The outside walls in brushed aluminum will appeal to fans of space age modernism, with echoes of classic Airstream campers, but with a flatter silver coat.

When you step foot inside this cab, you don’t feel like you’re trapped in a tin can. Instead, you don’t want to leave. The geometric side-domed observatory window on the rear end allows for not only more natural lighting but also a scenic view to wake up to each morning — a perk which is further aided by the six porthole side windows. Similar to an Airstream’s concave outer walls, the Atrium maximizes interior space, allowing for more room to sleep, cook, eat, and hang out, with the social layout being a major selling point.

As always, the Atrium is built by Texino with innovative, high-quality materials. While the camper isn’t available for purchase just yet, you can sign up to be notified of its launch at Texino’s website.
