G-Power Turns the BMW M4 Convertible Into a 720hp Open-Air Rocket

GPower G4M Hurricane BiTurbo Cabrio 0 Hero

The BMW M4 Convertible already packs 523hp from the factory. Most rational people would call that enough. G-Power isn’t most people.

The German tuning firm’s latest G4M Hurricane Bi-Turbo Cabrio takes BMW’s open-top rocket ship and cranks everything up to eleven. We’re talking about a convertible that’ll outrun Ferraris and McLarens while costing significantly less — and you can still drop the top for morning coffee runs.

Supercharger Heritage Meets Modern Turbos

G-Power’s history with forced induction runs deep. The company made its name in the late ’90s with supercharger systems, famously pushing the E36 M3 from 286 to 400hp back in 1997. Fast-forward to today, and they’re applying decades of tuning expertise to BMW’s latest twin-turbo architecture.

The GP-720 package extracts an impressive 720hp and 627lb.ft of torque from the M4’s 3.0-liter inline-six — nearly 200 horses beyond what BMW’s own engineers deemed appropriate. That’s serious supercar territory, achieved through ECU tuning, intake optimization, and their signature DEEPTONE exhaust system. The quad-tip setup features mixed sizing with two 100mm and two larger 110mm outlets, all finished in carbon fiber.

Looking the Part

Visual modifications stay refreshingly restrained. G-Power’s GP-VENTURI carbon hood brings actual cooling benefits through its vents, but it doesn’t scream “look at me” like some tuner pieces do. The GP-SHURIKEN grille bits and bumper corners clean up the front end while helping with airflow, and those GP-HURRICANE RR forged wheels are built to handle whatever punishment 205mph brings.

The Numbers Game

With 205mph top speed, the G4M Bi-Turbo Cabrio enters rarified air typically reserved for mid-engine exotics. The difference? Drop the roof and experience that twin-turbo symphony in the open air — something no Lamborghini or McLaren convertible can match at this price point.

The interior receives carbon fiber dashboard and center console treatments, plus carbon-trimmed steering wheel inserts. It’s subtle branding that doesn’t overwhelm the cabin’s functionality.
