The latest concept to hit the scene is aptly named the Cybercat, a Cybertruck-appropriate catamaran from the mind of Anthony Diamond, an eager reservation holder for Tesla’s highly-anticipated juggernaut.
With a projected top speed of over 25MPH and a range of over 115 miles when venturing 6MPH, the Cybercat looks to transform your truck of the future into an angular private seafaring vessel. The startup also claims that this sleek concept is capable of coming together in even less time than it takes to launch a boat. For added convenience, each element of the build easily fits in the Cybertruck’s trunk when you decide it’s time to head back home.
If you’re looking to boost this conceptual experience, the Cybercat Foiler pushes the tech envelope even further by tacking on hydrofoils to provide the utmost efficiency on the water, making it capable of reaching an estimated top speed of over 40MPH. The catamaran’s electric outboard motors, hydrofoils, and inflatable pontoons fold downward upon entering the water, the latter of which provide a foot of ground clearance. Plus, if you have any buddies also waiting for their Cybertruck to arrive, then you can make further use of the pontoons (and tailgates) by briding them together to make what they’ve dubbed a “cyber island.”
While battery-powered enthusiasts are still sitting impatiently for Tesla’s outrageous Cybertruck, there’s no question that the seafaring concept is one of the more unique to accompany it.
