CAKE’s :work series Bikes Are Engineered for Industrial and Delivery Applications

Despite only being founded in 2016, CAKE has already established itself as one of the world’s leading electric motorcycle brands, and though the Swedish marque already boasts nearly a dozen models in its lineup, the Stockholm-based EV outfit has now revealed its latest two-wheeled offerings with what it has appropriately dubbed the :work series.

Aiming to bolster performance in a trio of key areas — “power, reach, and efficiency” — CAKE’s :work series consists of upgraded versions of the brand’s Kalk, Ösa, and Makka models that have been engineered to be more conducive to professional and industrial applications such as maintenance and delivery. Boasting up to double the battery capacity of the regular models, the :work series sees its range increased to up to approximately 100 miles per charge. In addition to offering extended range, the work series bikes’ batteries also feature onboard power outlets, allowing the cells to double as mobile power banks for juicing up mobile devices or powering appliances or machinery. CAKE is also offering a bevy of optional racks and mounting points for luggage and hardware, allowing the :work series to offer more than 70 cubic feet of cargo space, plus the models’ towing capacity has been increased. Additionally, elements such as narrower handlebars also allow the work series models to better cut through traffic, split lanes, and navigate the urban landscape.

Though scheduled for a release next year, CAKE’s :work series models are slated to make their official public debut at this year’s EICMA show, which runs from November 23rd through the 28th.
