From motorcycles to watches to seafaring vehicles, Brabus seems to do it all when it comes to putting its bespoke touch on items of luxury. However, it’s the Mercedes G-Wagen that remains the German tuning outfit’s biggest calling card — in fact, it’s arguably the most revered in the world when it comes to modifying the AMG SUV.

A year ago, Brabus unveiled the Deep Blue Signature Edition of its Shadow 900 in partnership with Finnish high-end boat builder Axopar, which took the 900-hp, 60-knot powerboat and gave it a more elegant aesthetic that allowed it to blend in with the waves around it. Now, the firm brings the Deep Blue design series to its legendary Rocket 900 supercar (also with 900hp), which itself is based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUV.

The ocean-inspired trim gives the off-roader a stunning appearance at first glance, regardless of what’s underneath the hood. But since you asked, the vehicle not only delivers 900hp from its 4.5L twin-turbo V8 with increased displacement but a max torque of 922lb.ft, a 0 to 60 time of 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 174mph. Built on the widebody Brabus Widestar version of the car for increased aerodynamics, the blue exterior respray features chrome and plastic body components with sportier fascias for the front and rear and exposed carbon elements on the hood cowl and radiator grill surround. Likewise, the vehicle height has been reduced by 45mm thanks to the Brabus aluminum coil-over suspension. Complementing the blue coat are the 24-inch Brabus Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” wheels, painted in a high-gloss black color. Once you open the door, the Brabus Masterpiece interior showcases its carbon accents, slate gray leather, and abundance of blue glazing.
