With the upcoming release of its first human-powered device—the e-trike dubbed the Mean Lean Machine (MLM)—Arcimoto takes yet another step toward fulfilling its mission of advancing sustainability — while also having fun doing so.
Featuring the ability to turn corners with the angularity of a bicycle thanks to the company’s patented tilting technology, the MLM is an e-trike unlike any you’ve ever seen. The smooth ride offers a thrilling and unique experience, and provides a higher rate of traction and more stability than a standard bike.
Unlike a two-wheeler, the three-wheeled MLM features three respective hub motors, allowing for even less stress on the drive chain. The pedal generator charges the trike while stationary, which goes along with the auxiliary battery, altogether giving you over 200 miles of range. The seat can also hold either one or two people, making this trike a rather versatile piece of transportation.
Upon its debut, the MLM aims to be the best in its class, with yet-to-be-revealed features that Arcimoto promises will be the first of their kind. The company has kept some of the details about its e-trike under wraps, but we can’t wait to find out more.
