The smog that sweeps across the average metropolitan city’s skyline is here to stay, but that’s not to say design engineers around the world aren’t seeking ways to diminish it a bit. Companies like 3deluxe, the German experts in architectural design, recently unveiled their concept for the world’s first carbon emission-free yacht concept at the Monaco Yacht Show, albeit as an NFT. Labeled the “VY.01,” this gorgeous conception is first of its class.
Nicknamed the “Floating Garden of Eden,” the VY.01 offers amenities as lush as its exterior seeks to be. Its interior boasts an abundance of sunlight that helps in attending to the concept’s greenhouse and vegetable garden, as well as providing enough natural light to brighten its bar, kitchen, and lounge space. Topping it all off is an indoor basketball court with an adjacent rock-climbing wall. Somehow even more impressive than the yacht’s design is its range, with one full tank of bio-methanol capable of covering 1,000 miles, even when traveling at a slow speed. Putting the boat’s sleek, uber-futuristic look aside, 3deluxe seeks to deliver far more than a pretty vessel to gawk at, as they hope to push their emission-free ideology forward for generations to come while trimming the stigma regarding cliché, affluent superyacht owners simply worsening the planet’s quality.
Currently being auctioned off as an NFT, the VY.01’s mesmerizing detail can be gawked at through the AR platform Superworld, which places this zero-carbon superyacht in the foreground of the beautiful Port of Monaco. If you want to purchase the NFT for yourself, you can place a bid through SuperWorld’s app, where the price is currently at $20,844 as of this writing.
