Q by Aston Martin has been on an absolute hot streak lately. The bespoke division gave us both the Valour, and then the Valiant. Each one of these was a limited edition V12 love letter that sold out before we even got a chance to digest the news.
Now, at Monterey Car Week, Gaydon’s skunkworks has revealed its most extreme “V” car yet: the 2027 Aston Martin Valen.
Sorry, Vanquish
To become the most powerful front-engined production car on the planet, the only record it had to break was Aston’s own. The Vanquish currently held the title at 824 horsepower, and the Valen’s reworked 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 nudges past it with 838 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque.
The 8-speed ZF auto gets shift logic borrowed from the Vantage GT4 race program, which helps this thing sprint from zero to sixty in just 3 seconds flat (which is three tenths quicker than the Vanquish). Top speed sits at a limited 214 mph, and unfortunately, there’s no manual option offered here.
The 243-Pound Diet
Aston was able to shed 243 pounds from its standard V12 platform. To achieve the weight savings, the body is now full carbon fiber, right down to a solid tailgate that deletes the rear window entirely (you’ll have to rely on a camera-fed mirror for daily driving).
Magnesium wheels add some additional weight savings, shave 13 pounds of unsprung mass. And the new titanium exhaust cuts an additional (and impressive) 33 more pounds from the curb weight.
Those fighter jet inspired quad tips, stacked two up and two down, are fully 3D-printed titanium. And if that’s not enough weight savings for you, there’s even an optional lightweight pack that comes with machined aluminum suspension arms and titanium bolts to help trim another 37 pounds.
Creases Over Curves
Aston Martins are supposed to be curvy. It’s pretty much been a part of the brand’s core aesthetic for a century now, which makes the Valen’s razor-creased bodywork feel a little unfamiliar for the brand. The headlights hide beneath the bonnet’s leading edge until lit, saw-tooth vortex generators sprout from the sills, and the show car’s Satin Andromeda Red paint shifts from orange to red to deep blue depending on the angle.
Inside, you get a driver-angled console cribbed from the Valhalla, 3D-printed trim, and a ton of Q customization to help spec your model to perfection. You can even skip paint entirely if you so choose, and opt for a completely exposed herringbone-weave carbon tinted however you’d like.

Aston Martin hasn’t published an official sticker, though reports out of Monterey peg the Valen somewhere between $1.7 and $2 million before options, and with Q involved, there will be options. Just 150 will be built, with first deliveries slated for Q2 2027.
