There was a time when the fastest thing in a Home Depot parking lot was a slammed single cab with a supercharger whining under the hood. The SVT Lightning owned that era, but unfortunately, Detroit collectively decided every pickup needed four doors and a lift kit.
Ram’s Rumble Bee and Ford’s own F-150 Lobo have been billed as a street truck revival, but both still haul around a crew cab’s worth of dead weight. Shelby American just went back to the original recipe with the 2026 F-150 Super Snake Sport.
The Return of the King
That’s not our hyperbole, it’s Shelby’s. The brand is literally billing this as the “Return of the King,” which is a bold way to describe a work truck. But they’ve earned a little swagger here.
The original two-door Super Snake Sport ran from 2020 to 2023 before Shelby paused production. Now it’s back as a regular cab with a 6.5-foot bed, measuring a full 209.4 inches. It’s shorter, lighter, and meaner than anything else wearing a tow hitch.
810 Reasons to Skip the Rumble Bee
The starting point is Ford’s naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 making a respectable 400 horsepower. Check the box for Shelby’s Stage 2 supercharger, though, and output more than doubles to a ridiculous 810 horses on 93 octane.
For reference, that’s 33 more than Ram’s 777HP Rumble Bee SRT, and Shelby knows it. The blower and intake manifold come powder-coated in Ford Racing Blue, joined by a carbon fiber intake tube, upgraded injectors, a beefier aluminum heat exchanger, and a Borla side-exit exhaust. Paired with four-wheel drive, Shelby says it’s the quickest street truck off the line they’ve ever built.
Built to Corner, Not Crawl
All that thrust runs through a chassis that’s built for the street. The suspension gets dropped on KING adjustable coilovers with rear traction bars to keep the axle planted during hard launches.
Oversized Baer drilled-and-slotted rotors handle braking duties behind 22-inch Shelby alloys wrapped in Michelin performance rubber. And the ram-air hood, front splitter, painted tonneau cover, and full-length rally stripes make sure nobody mistakes this for a fleet special. Inside, top-grain leather, carbon fiber trim, and billet pedals round out the package, along with a serialized plaque logging each truck into the Shelby Registry.
