Starting his career sweeping the floors at Lamborghini, Horacio Pagani spent the ’80s at Lamborghini leading development on the Countach Evoluzione — the first car with a full carbon-fiber monocoque — before starting his own namesake company in the ’90s. Now, at 70, Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division has built him a birthday present in the form of a series of three Huayra models, the first of which is this one-off Trionfo.

Renaissance Man Meets Modern Machine
The 70 Trionfo (Italian for “triumph”) is a special-edition of one of the most coveted cars of the 21st century. Only the doors and window frames carry over from the original Huayra, which wrapped production back in 2018. Everything else has been completely reimagined, from the vertical DRLs and single headlights up front to the naked mechanical display of the redesigned rear diffuser and extractor. The whole package is wrapped in exposed green carbon fiber with orange accents.

Power Meets Precision
Under that sculpted body sits AMG’s twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12, now dialed up to 834hp — a significant jump from the Huayra BC’s 789hp. Power routes through a seven-speed manual transmission. It’s a proper, row-it-yourself gearbox that connects you to all 834 horses in the most analog way possible. For context, this is the same manual setup Pagani developed for the one-off Epitome eighteen months ago.

The Bigger Picture
This isn’t Pagani’s first birthday tribute to itself. The Zonda HP Barchetta marked Horacio’s 60th a decade ago, and before that, the Zonda F honored Juan Manuel Fangio — the racing legend who wrote recommendation letters that helped a young Argentine find work in Italy.
For Horacio’s 70th, Pagani is rolling out three vehicles over the next few months. The Trionfo has already been delivered to its owner in Cincinnati. The other two Huayra 70 models are in progress, presumably with different names and specifications.

Recap
Pagani Huayra 70 Trionfo One-Off
Pagani just built a one-off Huayra called the Trionfo to celebrate founder Horacio Pagani’s 70th birthday, packing 834 horsepower and a seven-speed manual transmission. It’s the first of three Huayra 70 models being made, each one presumably different from the next.
