When the original Vanquish debuted at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, it gave Aston Martin exactly what it needed: a proper V12 flagship, penned by Ian Callum, that would go on to earn silver screen immortality as 007’s ride in Die Another Day.
Twenty-five years later, the nameplate still sits atop the range, and Aston Martin is marking the occasion with the Vanquish 25, a 50-unit special edition from its bespoke Q division.
Dressed Like the Geneva Car
Rather than chasing wings and splitters, Q went the tasteful route. Every one of the 50 cars (25 Coupes, 25 Volantes) wears an exclusive shade of Q Skye Silver, a direct nod to the silver show car that stole the spotlight in Geneva back in 2001.
From there, the details include metal foil accents along the sills and shield vanes, stainless steel side strakes, bespoke exhaust finishers, and 21-inch forged wheels with a subtle “V” motif picked out in a contrasting finish. And discreet anniversary badging seals the deal.
Throwbacks in the Cabin
Inside, Q leaned even harder on the heritage. The semi-aniline leather and Alcantara upholstery (available in Onyx Black, Oxford Tan, or Phantom Grey) features a diamond quilting pattern that echoes the original car’s seats, while each headrest gets an embroidered “Vanquish 25” logo.
Our favorite touch? The specially commissioned start/stop rotary, finished in satin silver with a bright red center, sitting in the console like a piece of jewelry. Laser-etched trim inlays and a black Alcantara headliner finish things off.
824 Reasons It Didn’t Need More Power
Aston Martin didn’t touch the powertrain, and honestly, why would it? The current Vanquish is already the most potent series-production model in the brand’s 113-year history, its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 churning out 824HP and 738 lb-ft of torque through an 8-speed automatic to the rear wheels.
That’s good for 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and a 214-mph top speed, numbers that border on absurd for a grand tourer. And with 12-cylinder engines going the way of the dodo across the industry, a silver-clad V12 tribute feels like the only birthday gift that matters.

Set to make its in-person debut at Monterey Car Week (August 10-16), the Vanquish 25 begins deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2026.
