Admittedly, being an Alfista has required some pretty serious patience lately (we git it). The Giulia and Stelvio are aging gracefully but still aging nonetheless. Of course, the all-electric-by-2027 pledge came and went, and now the brand behind some of the prettiest machines ever made has spent recent years leaning on crossover designs. So when Alfa Romeo says it has a manifesto for its future, we’re cautiously optimistically. And it looks like optimism was the right idea here because at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Italians just unveiled the stunning Cuorerosso concept.

Carved, Not Drawn
Alfa’s Centro Stile spent barely two weeks on sketches before treating the Cuorerosso like a block of marble. The entire care was modeled as one solid mass and basically whittled away until only the essentials remained. The brand calls the philosophy Bellezza Necessaria, or Necessary Beauty, and the end results speak for themselves.

The 185-inch 2+2 body wears a Coda Tronca tail, a Scudetto grille built from backlit triangles that pulse like a heartbeat, and gold telephone-dial wheels. The door handles are gone entirely, and a touch control on the roof swings open the rear-hinged back doors instead.

A Red Heart That Still Burns Gasoline
Cuorerosso translates to “red heart,” and that heart (thankfully) isn’t fully electric. Alfa frames the concept as the start of a multi-energy lineup spanning EV, plug-in, mild, and full hybrid power. The brand envisions the range-topper as a 2.9-liter V6 full hybrid spinning all four wheels through a carbon fiber driveshaft.
Alfa hasn’t attached an output figure yet. But considering the Quadrifoglio’s Ferrari-derived version of that engine already makes 505 horsepower before any electric assistance, the potential certainly has us excited for what’s to come.

Telescopes, Lava, and Sailboat Fabric
Inside, the classic twin-cowl Alfa binnacle becomes the “Cannocchiale Vivente,” a motorized gauge cluster that physically merges its two pods into one as the driving gets more serious. The steer-by-wire wheel retains mechanical toggles with real haptic feedback, because Alfa knows all too well we’re all getting sick of touchscreens.

Materials range from hand-shaded Poltrona Frau nubuck to a tensioned monofilament fabric borrowed from Luna Rossa’s ocean racing gear. And the center console glows through a magma-inspired texture when it wakes. We have to say, nobody does cabins quite like the Italians.
