It was only last month that Ram showed off its 1500 Revolution BEV truck — a sleek conceptual take on the automaker’s forthcoming inaugural EV pickup. Despite just a few weeks having passed since that time, the company has now officially unveiled the production-ready version of the vehicle with the all-new Ram 1500 REV.

Like the concept, the production-ready 1500 REV is built atop Ram’s STLA platform. Engineered with a focus on efficiently integrating its battery pack, this platform adopts a powertrain with DC fast charging at speeds of up to 350 kW. This means after only 10 minutes of 800-volt DC fast charging, the truck can gain an additional 100 miles of range. Speaking of range, Ram has yet to cite autonomy figures for the 1500 REV, however, the company has stated that the new model will boast bar-setting range, as well as what will reportedly be class-leading towing, and payload. Utilizing a body-on-frame setup, the 1500 REV also sports a sleek grille design with an illuminated Ram badge, a massive front trunk, and a modular bed and tailgate design.

It’s still unclear what tech and features on the concept truck will make it onto the production vehicle, as the concept featured Level 3+ autonomous driving capabilities, a removable lower display, adjustable air suspension, self-leveling capabilities, four-wheel steering, multiple built-in projectors, an advanced camera and sensor system, and a voice-activated Shadow Mode that enables the truck to automatically follow the driver while they walk ahead of the vehicle. We do know that the 1500 REV will come loaded with Home Energy Charging (i.e. the ability to backup your home’s power supply using the electric pickup truck in the event of a blackout). Additionally, it’s also unclear if Ram’s first battery-electric light-duty pickup truck will eventually be offered in an off-road-focused TRX variant.

Entering production next year, the Ram 1500 REV is slated for a release in Q4 of 2024. Early access to preorders can be unlocked by paying a $100 refundable Ram REV Insider+ membership fee. Thus far, pricing has yet to be revealed.
