Powered by highly-tuned, individually hand-built engines, Mercedes’ AMG lineup has always catered to the brand’s most discerning and performance-obsessed customers. The Affalterbach tuning outfit has consistently stood at the forefront of its space thanks to a constantly-evolving array of ever-more powerful and ever-more-high-performance vehicles with each new model year. And 2024 is no different, with a myriad of comprehensively updated models — the latest of which to break cover is the new and massively improved 2024 Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe.

Benefitting from a slew of visual and mechanical updates, the 2024 AMG CLE Coupe features an updated body design with an even sleeker and more aggressive overall aesthetic that includes a reconfigured “shark nose” front-end. In typical the tuner’s typical fashion, the coupe boasts huge slew of AMG-specific hardware and systems that all come as standard, such as AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension, three-stage AMG speed-sensitive steering, rear-axle steering, an AMG high-performance brake system, and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive, just to name a few.

Slotting in-between AMG’s C43 and C63 models, the new CLE Coupe is powered by an AMG-enhanced 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder mild-hybrid engine that comes equipped with a turbocharger that uses an electric auxiliary compressor to keep it spooled up at operating RPM — thereby hugely mitigating boost lag. Mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission, this turbo hybrid six-banger cranks out 443hp and 413ft-lbs of torque, though is able to deliver up to 443ft-lbs for 12-second bursts thanks to a special Overboost function. These power figures ultimately allow the AMG CLE Coupe to clock 0-60mph runs in 4 seconds — and to reach a top speed that’s been electronically limited to 155mph.

While delivery dates and pricing have yet to be revealed, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe will debut in the coming months. We also anticipate pricing to start at around the six-figure mark.
