Though still sporting an unmistakable retro-influence, the Jeep Wrangler has grown sleeker and sleeker with each new generation. And after bestowing the Wrangler with a redesigned face and front-end back in April, the American automaker has now given its mid-sized pickup model the same treatment for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator truck.
Now sporting a more modern look, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator aims to claim a larger piece of Jeep’s current market share with a pickup that’s not only better-looking, but also one with superior performance capabilities over many of its competitors. Maintaining the outgoing model’s impressive go-anywhere capabilities, the 2024 Gladiator boasts a best-in class payload at 1,725lbs, a best-in-class 84:1 crawl ratio (which comes standard on Rubicon), and even a best-in-class standard 12.3” touchscreen for the truck’s extremely modular interior. Powered by a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 making 285hp and 260ft-lbs of torque, the latest Gladiator is also being offered with an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.
In typical Jeep fashion, the company has opted to outfit the various trim levels of its 2024 model year pickup with a plethora of some of the most popular aftermarket upgrades. This includes an integrated front off-road camera, steel front and rear bumpers, high-clearance black or body-color fender flares, an integrated Bluetooth speaker, a Rock-Trac full-time transfer case, a dedicated Off-Road+ mode, selectable front- and rear-locking differentials, steel rock rails, off-road Dana 44 axles, 17” aluminum wheels shod in 33” all-terrain tires, an electronic front sway-bar disconnect, a Gorilla glass windshield, LED front, rear, and fog lamps, a 1” suspension lift, and FOX 2.5” internal bypass shocks, just to name a few of the many, many standard options that the different Gladiator trim levels come loaded with. The 2024 Gladiator is also being offered with three new Upfit packages courtesy of American Expedition Vehicles.
Offered in Sport, Willys, Mojave, and Rubicon, variants, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator is available for order now, with vehicles scheduled to hit American dealerships by the end of the year. And while it has yet to reveal pricing for the 2024 Gladiator, we anticipate a base MSRP of around $40,000 based on the 2023 model year’s base price.
