Last week, Land Rover released a blurry teaser image of the brand-new 2022 Range Rover that sent tongues wagging. Now, the British marque has fully unveiled the next Range Rover, and the reimagined luxury SUV has proven worth the wait.
Available in a standard wheelbase and an additional elongated one, the 2022 Range Rover is filled with unexpected and innovative luxuries. Not a fan of leather? Then you can opt for an interior that fuses an Ultrafabrics and Kvadrat wool blend. The new MLA-Flex body will provide those interested the option of tossing in an additional one or two seats, as the SUV is available with four, five, or seven seats, according to the customer’s choosing. Another incredibly tantalizing addition is the noise-canceling speakers that are implemented into the driver seat’s headrest to subdue any form of distraction. On top of that, the 2022 Range Rover boasts built-in Amazon Alexa so drivers don’t have to worry about physically changing songs or getting directions. This particular First Edition model unveiled by the company is finished in an exclusive Sunset Gold Satin, but will also be available in a handful of varying colored exteriors. The new Range Rover offers multiple powertrains, with the top-level spec putting out a healthy 523HP by way of a twin-turbo V8 that’s capable of pushing the big ride from 0 to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds.
At a starting price of $104,000 for the standard wheelbase package, you can configure your 2022 Range Rover now at Land Rover’s website. But for the eco-conscious out there, you may want to hold off. The brand has announced that a plug-in hybrid version will arrive for the 2023 model year before an all-electric Range Rover debuts in 2024.
