Lincoln’s Model L100 Concept Is a Glass-Topped Luxury EV Built for the Future

Lincoln is one of the American automotive world’s most notable names, as the Ford-owned marque has been around since 1917 (only to be acquired by Ford in 1922). Seeing as we are 100 years removed from the manufacturer’s grand move, it’s choosing to celebrate with a fully-reimagined take on the iconic Model L, the first one it ever produced.

While the futuristic concept is virtually impossible to compare to the 100-year-old model from a design standpoint, the innovative spirit is what leads the way. The head-turning autonomous coupe boasts a futuristic silver color, a gorgeous glass canopy that stretches the length of the car, and three doors — including the roof — that open toward the rear. Each element co-exists to create a spaceship-adjacent concept car. Moving onward, its interior is crafted of white vegan leather and sumptuous, amethyst-colored recycled suede for a seamless display of eco-cognizant luxury.

As you could have guessed, the interior is not the only sustainable element of this car. The Model L100 concept is fully electric and leaves zero tailpipe emissions, deeming it the way of the future. Realistically, it’s no surprise to see Lincoln (or any other automaker) showcase more sustainable efforts, but it remains impressive every time. Lastly, Lincoln even replaced the steering wheel with what it calls a “jewel-inspired chess piece” yoke, going to show that it’s about as unique as it gets.

Lincoln plans to deliver more EVs over the course of this decade, but time will tell when we’ll have an in-person look at this beauty. You can find more information on the Model L100 concept on Lincoln’s website.
