The brilliant minds behind Hyperlite Mountain Gear pulled from their fond memories of trail adventures around the globe to design their latest high-tech outdoor offering. The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Dirigo 2 Ultralight Backpacking Tent is a 28 oz shell of reliable protection against the trying elements in the wild.

The Dirigo 2 is a three-season, two-person backpacking tent made from a mix of five Dyneema composite fabrics to achieve ideal weight ratio, waterproof capabilities, and longevity. Since the stronger-than-steel Dyneema is one of the toughest man-made creations — you won’t need a ground sheet or a rainfly. Making things even easier for your backpacking trip, the Dirigo 2 doesn’t require aluminum poles to set up, as it can use two trekking poles and eight stakes to stay upright. Handbuilt in Biddeford, Maine by experienced craftsman, this fully-seamed backpacking tent also features a carbon fiber ‘Ridge Bar,’ two large mesh walls for incredible ventilation, and internal clothesline D-rings. Make your next backpacking trip easier by picking up this ultralight tent for $795.
