We are lucky to cover a lot of great collaborations on this site. They’re a wondrous hallmark of any industry, especially the fashion industry. When two, well-known and celebrated brands join forces to alchemize their styles, the result is almost always incredible. Sticking to the “always incredible” part of the last sentence, Ten Thousand and Filson have collaborated to release a collection of mens activewear that’s built to handle the training rigors of first responders and wildland firefighters.
The collection between the two American brands was designed with the physical lifestyles of first responders and firefighters in mind. In a true hybridization of both brands’ values and quality reputations, the Ten Thousand x Filson collection features an athletic design with the durable, outdoorsy ruggedness of Filson. The collection includes three items featuring Filson’s signature Marsh Olive colorway: a lined Tactical Short, a Versatile Shirt, and a Training Sock. Made with a custom-milled four-way stretch ripstop fabric construction, the lightweight and durable Tactical Shorts were designed with the help of members of U.S. Special Operations Forces to promote mobility when performing military-grade training. They also sport a tough waistband that keeps the shorts stable during training as well as an Every Session Carry pocket system for secure storage. For the Versatile Shirt, Ten Thousand and Filson used a breathable, sweat-wicking, 3M Easy Care fabric for its construction and outfitted it with a silver ion anti-odor treatment and anti-chafe flatlock seams. Rounding out the collection are the all-important Training Socks, which are constructed with a breathable performance mesh and XT2 silver ion threads to control odor. What’s more, the Training Socks were designed with strategic zone cushioning and anatomical arch support to maximize both comfort and support.
