Launched back in 2014, Prometheus Design Werx has made a name for itself not just for its versatile range of both EDC and outdoor gear, but for how it’s managed to craft each and every piece to superb standards. From knives to tool watches to tactically-inspired and surprisingly stylish jackets, the San Francisco-based firm has continued to remain at the top of its space.
Today, PDW unveiled its long-awaited All Terrain bag collection following three years of development. Be it the 24L Pack or the 45L or 60L Duffel, all three bags feature the same tech and 1000D RPET construction. With an IPX7 waterproof rating, each piece focuses on the zippers’ ability to keep out moisture rather than adding the extra fabric required for a typical roll-top waterproof bag. The Delrin zippers have polyacetal resin teeth for unbelievable protection against fluids. For the Pack, there’s an additional pocket that provides easy access to the interior without needing to unzip it all the way. Likewise, the Duffels each sport a hanging zipper pocket inside to hold the gear that you need to access quickly.
All three bags sport padded shoulder straps, versatile strap options for carrying, and a plethora of daisy chain clip points. Perhaps the most notable innovation here is the spring-loaded buoyancy valve, which allows you to inflate your bag with air for better capabilities in the water, while also doubling as a floatation device itself.
From climbing to rafting to overlanding to day hikes in the rain, these bags will be your new companion on your next adventure, and at insanely fair prices. The Duffels go for either $163 or $184, depending on the size, and the Pack is priced at $218. Stock up now at Prometheus Design Werx’s online store.
