Since its inception, Prometheus Design Werx has carved out a reputation for delivering elevated, tactically inspired takes on a wide range of outdoor and EDC gear. And for its latest release, the San Francisco-based brand is continuing this MO with a custom set of aftermarket glow-in-the-dark Swiss Army Knife scales.

Coming on the heels of PDW’s titanium construction SAK scales, the new full glow-in-the-dark scales have been precision-milled from Hyperglow composite. PDW’s new SAK scales also sport the standard three-hole pattern that allows for the addition of a wide variety of aftermarket pocket clips, including the 6AL-4V titanium billet, SPD Kraken Trident-logoed pocket clip that’s sold with each of PDW’s SAK scale sets. The billet pocket clip is also mated to the set via a trio of rugged 316 stainless steel machine screws.

Created by the company’s Special Projects Division, these Swiss Army Knife scales are also being produced in a smooth variant, as well as in a version that boasts Prometheus Design Werx’s signature quintuple handle fullers. Sporting a thickness of 3.9mm, these scales measure 91mm in height and span 20.06mm in width — though taper to 18.03mm. Compatible with 91mm SAK models, these scales are precisely machined to match the stock multi-tool’s brass ferrules. Retaining the regular SAK’s toothpick and tweezer slots, these GITD scales weigh in at only 1.1oz.

Available now, both the smooth and fullered versions of the Prometheus Design Werx GID SAK Scales have been priced at $99. Alongside the Hyperglow composite GITD scales, PDW has also released a variety of different colored G10 SAK scales with embedded glow dots.
