When it comes to all the designs, products, and advertisements that Nike has churned out over the years, they have enough to fill up a book — which is why the iconic brand has done so on multiple occasions. Moreover, Nike has worked alongside several publishers to show off its catalog, but it’s choosing a different route this time. The forthcoming title, No Finish Line, is dedicated to showcasing its boundless future more than it is its well-documented past.
Nike offers a sneak peek into the celebratory release as the foreword begins by saying ““It’s been said that the best way to predict the future is to create it. At Nike, we wholeheartedly agree.” This quote comes directly from John Hoke, Nike’s Chief Design Officer, and has been showcased repeatedly with countless real-life examples to prove it.
In addition to Hoke’s foreword, the book features essays from esteemed author Sam Grawe, writer of Better is Temporary, a remarkable visual compendium detailing Nike’s transformation through 50 years of dedication to its craft. Grawe interviews several designers to garner a genuine knowledge of the performance giant’s tireless creative process and even details a handful of industry-changing shifts the design world can expect to see in the next fifty years. Lastly, there will be custom illustrations and imagery courtesy of Braulio Amado and PWR, providing visual insight as to what the future holds.
Show off your love for the Swoosh and pick up No Finish Line, available on February 14 for $26.
