Iron & Resin came about in 2011 after its founder looked at the current clothing offerings around the industry and noticed that most of them lacked a personal touch. Imbuing their jackets, shirts, and pants with the spirit of his local blue-collar beach town in southern California, the clothier has done just that. However, with their latest offering, they’ve gotten even more rugged, partnering with knifemaker Messermeister on the new Field & Flame capsule collection, featuring clothing and gear intended for everyday utility.

Headlining the collection is a set of five knives based on Messermeister’s Overland Chef range — including the 8” Camp Knife, 8” Scalloped Slicer, 4.5” Utility Knife, 7” Mid-Flex Filet Knife, and 9” Slicer. For this collaboration, the limited-edition blades feature denim micarta handles and Iron & Resin has equipped them with custom leather sheaths designed to develop character with age.

Along with the knives, the Field & Flame collection includes both a blue denim and brown waxed canvas apron that can double as rolls for your knives and tools, such as cookware for your camping trip. They’re complemented with brown leather straps and accents, giving them a classy aesthetic that elevates them beyond your average chef’s apron.

The capsule also features a pair of gray graphic tees sporting images of the outdoors and phrases like, “TASTES LIKE FREEDOM,” and, “LIVE FREE EAT WELL.” There are also two waxed canvas hats available in several different colorways. According to Iron & Resin, this collection is “rooted in craftsmanship, environment, and everyday ritual,” valuing “function over flash and character earned over time.” That said, these pieces are all pretty darn stunning.

Available now from Iron & Resin’s website, the Field & Flame capsule starts at $39 for the t-shirts, while the hat is $45 and the aprons start at $139. The Messermeister knives range from $230 to $280.
