More often than not, we have something good to say about HOKA’s performance shoes. While the Transport sneaker doesn’t change that in the slightest, it does change how we view the brand, as it is arguably one of its most versatile, city-ready silhouettes to date.

By fusing style, sustainability, and technical capabilities to a tee, the famous shoemaker has conjured up a sneaker ready for any occasion. The Transport features an immensely durable Cordura RE/CORTEM upper, which is responsibly made using pre-consumer waste material and high-quality nylon. This is placed atop a lightweight EVA midsole made of 30% sugarcane and a trusty Vibram EcoStep Natural outsole, the latter of which is made using 90% oil-free components.

On top of all that, the water-resistant kicks feature GORE-TEX Invisible Fit tech, deeming them weather-ready without unwanted bulk. For added convenience, the new release features a quick-toggle lacy to help you adjust the tightness or easily throw them on and off. And while they are clearly made to operate just as well for the daily commute, the 11.20-ounce set of steppers helps you maintain a responsive toe-off, deeming them just as capable of taking on backcountry trails. That said, we don’t recommend running in these, but a hike should be just fine.
