EDC Tough Titans 0 Hero

Titanium has been infiltrating the EDC space in the last few years, to say the least. Thanks to recent manufacturing advancements, working with the metal is much easier and more affordable. Nearly half the weight of its steel counterparts, titanium is also highly corrosion-resistant. Our latest everyday carry loadout is made up of a few of our favorite titanium gear pieces.

Hacksmith The Smith Blade Pro

Hacksmith The Smith Blade Pro F 9 25

With over 15 million YouTube subscribers, Hacksmith Industries is a must-follow for any EDC or gear enthusiasts out there. The Hacksmith team brings fictional tech to life, such as plasma lightsabers and giant mechs. However, until now, he’s yet to unveil his first-ever multi-tool. Built from an attractively-styled grade 5 titanium housing, the Smith Blade Pro is a 21-in-1 unit that includes a M390 steel blade, tweezers, and bubble level as just a couple of its useful functions. But perhaps its most notable innovation is its patent-pending screwdriver bit retention system, using neodymium magnets that hold 4mm bits in its machined hexagon channels. Smith Blade Standard and Pro models will be manufactured in Hacksmith’s Canadian headquarters.

Tactile Turn Side Click Pen

Tactile Turn Side Click Pen F 9 25

Tactile Turn might have one of the best ranges of EDC pens out there, and their stonewashed titanium Side Click is one of our favorites. Made right here in the USA, the writing utensil measures 5.8” long in the standard size you see here and uses Pilot G2 0.7mm ink refills. Yet the magic happens from its robust all-metal housing with a matching titanium clip. The matte texture on the exterior complements the shiny finish on the buttons and clip, but this entire thing benefits from the metal’s lightweight properties, weighing just over 1oz.

Oakley Sutro TI

When it comes to performance sunglasses, Oakley is the most important name, practically inventing the category back in the 1970s. A couple of years ago, the brand gave its shield-style Sutro model the full-titanium treatment in matte gunmetal, equipped with their iconic PRIZM lenses with a wide field of view that’s perfect for cyclists and drivers. If you’re not into black lenses, the shades also come in a Sapphire blue option as well.

Bell & Ross BR-X5 Black Titanium

Bell Ross BR X5 Black Titanium F 9 25

Watchmakers across the globe seem to be making a big play for titanium in recent years, and for good reason. The material is more lightweight and corrosion resistant than steel, and the nature of the metal means that you can make specific alloys that increase its scratch-resistance as well. Bell & Ross makes some of the finest titanium watches out there, and this BR-X5 falls into the brand’s design ethos perfectly while pushing function even further with an intuitive date window and a 3-day power reserve indicator. Inside the 41mm case sits the in-house Calibre BR-CAL.323 automatic movement, which can be seen through the exhibition caseback and partially through the translucent black dial. Lastly, the watch comes with a titanium bracelet to complete the look.
