For over a century, Eddie Bauer has been on the cutting edge of sartorial innovation. Inventing the down puffer jacket in 1940, the Washington-based company has continued to pioneer outdoor clothing and gear all these years later.
Partnering with cutting-edge thermal wearables brand clim8, Eddie Bauer has released the Guide Pro, a series of self-heating winter gloves and mittens — the first such products for the North American market. Using the accompanying smartphone app, you simply enter your desired temperature between 68 and 95ºF and the AI-powered technology will ensure that your hands remain warm for up to 4.5 hours.
Built from a Pittards Armortan leather shell that’s made to fit around your hand’s natural shape, the battery-powered Gloves, Lite Gloves, and Mittens feature Primaloft Gold insulation and WeatherEdge Plus wwaterproofing for any situation. Moreover, the back of the thumbs features a nose-wiping cloth. A removable elastic leash lets you tether these wearables to your pack or belt loop, and the webbing strap adjustment ensures a cozy fit.
The Guide Pro Smart Heated Gloves and Mittens with clim8 self-heating technology are priced at either $249 or $299 and are available now on Eddie Bauer’s website.
