The sling has been on a generational run in the EDC space, and it shows no real signs of slowing down. It’s still the king of carry for urban dwellers.
Of course, DSPTCH knows the space well, and the San Francisco-based studio has been making them well before the trend caught fire. And the Mono Sling is the brand stripping their utilitarian format down to the studs.

One Bag, Three Ways to Wear It
The Mono Sling runs with the now-familiar teardrop shape and keeps things refreshingly uncomplicated. You get roughly 9 liters inside, which is enough for a real daily loadout without tipping into full backpack territory.

The 3-way straps lets you run it crossbody or sling it over either shoulder. And, DSPTCH tuned the system to actually lock the bag down for movement to prevent the all too common swinging issue with similar style slings.

Built for the Daily Scramble
Inside, there are two quick-access pockets for the small stuff you’re always digging around for, plus a padded14-inch laptop sleeve. There’s also a dedicated water bottle pocket, which is a nice touch on a sling.

The Good Stuff Up Top
DSPTCH didn’t disappoint when it comes to textiles. The Mono Sling is available in black Dyneema, Light Army X-PAC X50, and a white Challenge Ultra 800.
For the uninitiated, these are sailcloth-grade, borderline weatherproof fabrics that the ultralight obsessives lose sleep over. And since this one falls under DSPTCH’s experimental RND line, every example is sewn in the USA.
