Camelbak’s ChillBak Is a Backpack Cooler & Hydration Pack in One

Staying hydrated is one of the essential elements of your day-to-day routine, and that sentiment applies no matter where you are. To ensure you and yours are keeping refreshed, Camelbak has unveiled an innovative hybrid cooler backpack with room for up to two dozen cans.

Backpack coolers aren’t necessarily a new product, but the Northern California-based manufacturer put a few significant elements into its 30-liter Chillbak to help set a new standard. While it aims to serve as an excellent backpack thanks to its padded shoulder straps and back panel, its roll-top closure also allows for single-hand carrying, so you can hold it as you see fit. It also features a waist belt for enhanced stability and expandable side stretch pockets to store a refillable bottle or other essentials.

In addition to holding up to 24 cans and 15 pounds of ice, it has an extra reservoir that can hold up to 6 liters of water (or any other beverage). The brand’s patented Fusion Group Reservoir is rounded out with a sturdy waterproof zipper for maximum security. The hydration bladder is neighbored by a spigot that makes refilling your cup or water bottle an absolute breeze. Above all else, it can keep cold for as long as 72 hours and manages to retain ice for even longer, so you don’t have to worry about your drinks warming up.

This piece of gear is the way to go if you’re planning a big trip and need a way to keep your co-travelers hydrated. Camelbak’s new ChillBak 30 Soft Cooler & Hydration Center is available on the brand’s online store now for $300.
