Beams and Arc’Teryx Are Bringing Their Latest Collaboration to the States

Beams and Arc’Teryx are no strangers to each other, having formed a working relationship 25 years ago. While the two brands have collaborated annually since then, these joint efforts have exclusively been available overseas, leaving American gorpcore enthusiasts with no choice but to scour the resale market. In celebration of the partnership’s anniversary, the two brands’ latest collection is heading to the U.S.

The Dimensions collection features four fashionable mainstays from the Canadian outerwear brand’s catalog. Starting with the Bespoke Beta Jacket, it has a unique, color-blocked pattern inspired by an aerial view of mountainous topography. This collaborative jacket features all the technical elements that make the standard Beta so notable, as well as a 3L GORE-TEX shell backed by Gore C-Knit tech, which come together to provide optimized weather resistance while staying breathable.

In addition to the jacket, Beams is also bringing its take on the Mantis 26 backpack and both iterations of the Mantis waist pack. The Mantis 1 is constructed from lightweight polyester and can be worn as a fanny pack or shoulder sling. As far as the bolstered Mantis 2 goes, it is made from the same minimalist material but has a 2.5L capacity as opposed to the first version’s 1.5L capacity. Lastly, the Mantis 26 backpack is delivered in a sleek, white base accented by hints of khaki and black. Style aside, its interior features loads of space, including a laptop sleeve that could double as a hydration reservoir when necessary.

While you can try and reserve pieces from the collection on Beams’ website, the joint effort will be available at 11 Arc’Teryx stores in the U.S. in late August. Prices will start from ¥6,050 (~$46).
