Arkadia-Life Turned the Vintage Porsche 911 Into a One-Seat Sofa With Working Headlights

Designing your home as a motoring enthusiast can become quite the slippery slope. It starts with a tasteful framed 911 print, escalates to a diecast shelf, and somehow ends with you explaining to your spouse why the new armchair has working headlights. Arkadia-Life, a design brand that credits Italian master artisans and keeps a showroom in Shanghai, just built the final boss of that slope. Meet the beautiful P01 Classic Sofa.

Officially, It’s Not a Porsche

Arkadia-Life’s own materials only ever cite “1960s GT sports cars” as inspiration, but let’s be real, every inch of the P01 looks like a long-hood 911. Bug-eye headlights, amber indicators, slim chrome bumpers, there are even a set of twin exhaust tips under an engraved rear plaque.

GT Silver and Jet Green paint come standard, while Miami Blue, Crayon, and Speed Yellow will cost you extra. And again, it’s hard to read that paint list without picturing a certain Stuttgart configurator.

The seat itself is channel-quilted cowhide, pleated like a vintage bucket and sized for only one occupant. So calling it a “sofa” is a bit of stretch here as well.

Pop the Decklid

The rear lid lifts on little prop rods, just like an engine cover should, except underneath you’ll find seven storage compartments instead of a flat-six.

The headline items are a built-in refrigerator, a wine chiller, adjustable cup holders, and wireless charging. Both rear fenders also swing open to reveal drawers sized for watches and model cars, which tells you exactly who Arkadia-Life expects to be buying this thing.

Knock Twice for Bass

Of course what’s a beautiful Porsche-inspired sofa without a matching sound system? A UK-sourced SENSONUM audio system pairs a professional amplifier and subwoofer with 13 speakers, streams over Bluetooth, and even tunes through a companion app.

Inputs run through five knock-sensing panels baked into the bodywork, a setup the brand bills as an industry first. Multicolor ambient lighting glows beneath the rockers, and the whole thing weighs 485 pounds.
