The new release implements a number of new elements that we’re not accustomed to seeing from APL, namely its proprietary “TechLoom Ziplines” structure that coats the single-layer upper, paving the way for high-performance support without shedding its lightweight, stretchy feel, which is further aided by its ribbed tongue and collar. A signature internal Soufflé sock liner rounds out the upper, providing an ideal bit of comfort.
The shoes sit on a FutureFoam midsole compound designed for running, which features horizontal channels to provide unrivaled compression and energy return. Another example of APL’s engineering prowess is the slanted shank plate sitting between the two-piece midsole, encouraging forward motion as soon as your feet leave the ground. Lastly, the grippy, two-piece rubber outsole is a perfect way to finish this pair off.
