Since its inception in 2011, Flint and Tinder has garnered an impressive reputation for itself within the men’s clothing space, largely on the strength of its updated, premium takes on wardrobe staples and classics. For the New York label’s latest release, FNT has turned to the robust outerwear worn in the sprawling mountainous region of Northwestern Scotland, taking inspiration from these pieces and the windswept region in which they’re utilized to deliver a Scottish workwear-inspired capsule known as the Highlands Collection.

The collection is comprised of a trio of items, the first of which is the Highlands Trouser. Sold in black or Earth (brown) color options, these pants are modeled after vintage U.S. Army field trousers and are made from a lightly Spandex-infused 10.5oz Japanese-made fabric using felled seams. Alongside featuring dual side hand pockets, these hardwearing pants also sport rugged rear welt pockets. The second item in the collection is the stylish yet utilitarian Waxed Elbow Sweater. Offered in four different color choices, this crewneck sweater features a nylon and lambswool construction that’s supplemented via full-length elbow and forearm patches in waxed cotton. Pieced together using a knit construction, the sweater has also received a ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem, plus old-school-inspired Raglan sleeves.

Anchoring this new collection is FNT’s Highlands Jacket, a contemporary, high-end interpretation of a classic Scottish guide coat. Constructed around a waxed cotton canvas shell, the Highlands Jacket boasts responsibly sourced duck down insulation and a quilted interior lined with a peached poly-cotton-nylon blend. Crafted using ultra-sturdy triple-needle construction at the armholes and shoulder seams, the jacket also features articulated sleeves, cotton-Lyrca ribbed cuffs, micro-fleece-lined hand-warmer pockets, custom FNT hardware, and zippers with real leather pulls. Best of all, each jacket will slowly form a unique patina over years with regular use.

Offered exclusively through Huckberry, the Flint and Tinder Highland Collection is available now. Pricing for the Waxed Elbow Sweater, Highlands Trouser, and Highlands Jacket have been set at $128, $148, and $298, respectively.

Purchase: $128+
